Postcard Sent From the U.N. Is Returned to Sender After 72 Years

Alan Ball sent the postcard to his family during the summer of 1953. Last week, it arrived at his home in Idaho.This postcard, mailed in 1953, unexpectedly surfaced at a post office in Illinois. Postal officials believe it had spent most of the past seven decades lost in the United Nations and had only been mailed recently.
